Brave Soul is a unique hentai game that mixes both the role playing game (RPG) genre with the eroge format. It was released in 2003 in Japan by the company Crowd and was translated to English and published in English by Peach Princess. The game is only available for the Microsoft Windows platform and is unusual because it combines aspects from the traditional RPG genre with the concept of the hentai game, this is one of the main factors of it's success. The game is available at many online retailers and the most common price for it is around $40. The game comes runs on Windows 95, 98, ME, 2000, XP or higher and requires a Pentium 166 MHz or high (although a 266 MHz is recommended), it also requires 32MB of memory although 64mb or higher is recommended. The installation of the game will take up to 100mb of hard drive space, it comes with full original soundtrack and Japanese voices, along with a full english translation in English subtitles. Unsuprisingly it is rated for eighteen plus users only due to the hentai content that is included in the game.

Rudy - This is the default name of the protagonist of the game. He is currently on an adventure in order to become a fully fledged hunter. He is very carefree and often acts first before thinking about the consequences of his actions, which can get him into dangerous situations.
Shell - This is the small dragon that Rudy saved a decade ago, he named it after one of the seven most famous heroes that emerged from the ranks of the commoners. Shell is very loyal to Rudy and will always fight by his side, even in the most desperate of situations.
Alicia - This girl has been trying to find her sister ever since her dissapearance in the past, she has been searching for years now and over that time she has gained skills as a healer, although she can rarely be seen in the vicinity of violence as she doesn't like to fight.
Caroll - A young and upcoming sorceress in the world, she likes to think that she is a lot harder than she actually is and she is frightened easily, primarily by ghosts and the undead as a whole. When she gets frightened she often looks for someone stronger than her to protect her.
Marin - A catgirl who comes from a different race that is based on a continent to the west of Valencia. She doesn't like to pay attention when people start ordering her around which means that she comes off as being very cheeky. She is very skilled at casting spells to raise spirits who will fight to protect her.
Ruby - A very attractive girl who leads a double life, one of which is down the straight and narrow and the other is her alter ego Rose the Thief, who robs the rich and gives to the poor. Although she is often found to be taking a cut of the proceeds in order to get by herself.
Caren - A former princess who ran away from her throne in the kingdom of Minstrel. She would prefer to be a real girl and live the life that she was never going to get as a sheltered princess who would always be locked in the castle attending to duties. She is often bashful and forgets thinks, but she has much luck.
This game is one of the few that can pull of the merging of two of the biggest and most well known genres in gaming nowdays. Millions of people play RPGs across the world and many of these also have hentai games in their collection, and what the developers have done here is create a perfect game that runs down the middle of both genres in order to create a game that is enjoyable to play but also exciting each time you reach opportunities in the game to take part in sexual activities with the well designed lead female characters. We must say that the choice is great and we appreciate that it must have taken the developers an extremely long time to get this looking as good as they did, along with the gameplay which is superb and flowing. The translators have also made no errors which makes sure that you are not distracted while playing by shoddy subtitles or any other such problems, which is always a thumbs up to any games like this as some have been ruined by the poor grammar of those who were translating them.
We must say that the plot of the game is also very interested and it will keep you interested for many hours in order to find out what is going to happen during the game. The scenarios that you are presented with all of the characters and it is great to see how much effort has been put into creating them. We especially like the addition of the difficulty levels which allow those who want to breeze through the game enjoying only the sexual material to do it how they want to and those who prefer the RPG genre to go through playing it the way they would like to. If you are looking for an enjoyable gaming experience mixed with a great eroge experience then this is one of the best games on the market to buy and play, compared to some of the poor competition that is on the market right about now.
The art in the hentai scenes of the game was produced exclusively for the company by the well reknowned Japanese artist 'Mogden'. This is widely known and has help contribute to the games popularity in the community of those in Japan who enjoy playing the game.
